Low-carb, high fat. Kosher. Vegetarian version possible. Mom J’s simple adaptation of traditional southern-style fried cabbage. Photo shows meatless version.
Ingredients:
- ½ stick butter
- 2 c. finely chopped cabbage
- ½ medium onion, cut in half then sliced thinly
- ½ pkg. Hebrew National® beef franks*, sliced into ¼-in. thick round pieces.
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- ½ t. garlic salt
- ¼ t. ground black pepper
Instructions:
- Melt butter in non-stick skillet.
- Add cabbage and onion, and cook on medium-high for about 5 minutes, stirring to cook evenly.
- Add remaining ingredients, cover, and simmer on low for 20-25 minutes.
